Update

On Monday, I went to see Dr. Osbourne, who was very pleased with my foot. In fact, he told me that in a week, I could start to run again. WhoooHoo! I'm sauntering along on the treadmill about five days a week at this time, with my longest saunter being 2 miles. I'm still on the Coach Weber plan of increasing my mileage by 0.1 mile daily, which Dr. O thought was perfect. So, by January, I should be up to 5 miles!
I'm also back to working my night shifts, although they have been cut to nine hours...that will actually be a great relief. I have time to do other things, with work framing my life, but not dominating my life.. I don't think that has ever happened to me before, but I can learn to love it.
Scott and I are going to San Francisco this weekend for a meeting...he will run the North Face Ultra 50 K in Marin County and I will learn all about the corporation for which I work. Nothing nicer than Fisherman's Wharf at Christmas time....plus, it's free! At last, a perk!
Ben is struggling with whether or not to do the Arrowhead. He's certainly in my prayers, because I know he's suffering over it.
